Next place was Annie's Vintage Costume and Textiles and that's the place when I started to get really excited....
I'm not sure if all the designers-to-be feel the same but I'm simply going crazy about all those beautiful furs , silks, angora etc and all finely designed. I simply wish to have it all. Might be that it will appear weird to some people, but when i go shopping I look at many different qualities: 1. I touch the fabric and check if it's got synthetic fibers in it( I don't like synthetic fabrics), if it's got an interesting design, if it will make you look good(I'm sure you bought once an amazing dress but on body it simply looked awful!), I look at the seams and their quality, and I look at the label,(not necessarily to check the brand but the textile content and where was it made). Probably I could find few more things I look at when shopping.
(Please excuse the bad quality but I was trying very hard not to be spotted by the sales person)
I really like the inside of that store. The display was almost telling the stories of the past life of those clothes. On top of that the lady that was selling the clothes was that old that , you could have a feeling she's selling her own stuff from the times when she was young and beautiful.
Afterwards I went to see The Cloud Cuckoo Land .
This little store has got beautiful stuff from all over the world.
The most surprising thing is the inside of it. It looks very underground, almost as it would be a secret place not known to many people. Maybe this make it so special. You as a customer, feel almost as you would discover this place but would like to keep it only for yourself .
I was amazed by the floor leading to the fitting room!
I even liked the way the floor was damaged and thought that would be a great print.
For me fashion is a wearable art, where everything matters.
